Rudyard Kipling Plain Tales From the Hills Third UK Edition 1890
The First Edition has for sale the Rudyard Kipling book, Plain Tales From the Hills.
Published by Macmillan in 1890 this is the Third Edition with the original blue
cloth over boards with gilt to the top of the front board and to the top of the spine,
with gilt lettering to the spine
The boards are in Good condition with marks to the front and back boards and with considerable wear to the spine
There are 310 numbered pages with 2 pages of advertisements to the back followed by a large 64 page catalogue dated November 1890 (see the Contents Page). The pages are bound in and are in overall Very Good condition, but the hinges are broken making the pages beginning to be loose and the binding shaky
This is a very nice early example of the work of Rudyard Kipling which is rarely encountered and which is at a very affordable price (inclusive of postage)
