The First Edition has this very rare and collectable Rudyard Kipling book for sale
entitled: The Naulakha A Story of West and East that was published by William Heinemann
[London] in 1892.
This wonderful Rudyard Kipling novel comes in its original terracotta coloured cloth with decoration in black to the front and back boards, and with titling to the front also in black; and with gilt lettering to the spine. There are light marks and edge wear to the boards and very slight fading to the spine, otherwise these are an amazingly fresh and attractive set of boards for this rare and collectable Rudyard Kipling book.
There are 276 numbered pages with 8 pages of advertisements to the end of the book; many of these pages of advertisements are still unopened. The pages are in overall Very Good to Near Fine condition having a bookplate for WT Charlton (dated January 12th 1893), slight and light foxing to the front and rear plain endpapers; and being dusty to the top edge. The Naulakha is very attractive internally and is tightly bound, making this an extremely collectable example.
The Naulakha by Rudyard Kipling in its original cloth rarely appears for sale and being in such wonderful condition makes this a particularly collectable Rudyard Kipling first edition book and is probably one of the best examples of its kind on the market today.
